PROJECT ANNOUNCEMENTS


Santa Clara Town Center (Northern California): A three-phased, two-year renovation project including demolition/site work (PH1), facade (PH2) and new building construction (PH3).


Fresh Market Santa Barbara (Southern California): Complete interior demo of a former 24,351 sq.ft. Solaris Market, including the existing slab. Scope also includes turn-key improvements for a new Fresh Market location, facade upgrades, hardscape and landscape.

CONGRATS FRANK YORK! Frank York, President of W. L. Butler Construction, Inc. was inducted into the Woodside High School Hall of Fame on May 14, 2013. As a WHS alumni and parent volunteer, Frank was recognized for his outstanding commitment to the community.

BEST PLACE TO WORK SEVEN YEARS STANDING! Named one of the Best Places to Work in the Bay Area by the Business Journal once again. The company ranked within the Top 35 for comapanies with 101-500 employees within the Silicon Valley. Results were tabulated by independent research firm, Quantum Workplace.

Acknowledged among 64 companies by the San Francisco Business Times as a Top Corporate Philanthropist. In addition, the company was among an elite group of businesses presented with the Community Commitment Award for giving more than 1% of pre-tax profit.

2012 Golden Nugget Awards of Merit were presented for Interior Renovations (661 Bryant), Publicly Funded Special Use (AC Transit Hydrogen Station), Retail (Safeway, Hillsdale, Willow Glen) and Public/Private Recreational Use (Siena Youth Center). The company was a 2011 Award of Merit and 2010 Grand Award recipient as well.

GREEN PROJECTS OF THE YEAR! PAMF Women's Health Resource Center and Sequoia High Gymnasium were the Public and Private runner's up in the 2011 Silicon Valley/San Jose Business Journal Structure Awards.

2010 SAFETY PARTNER OF THE YEAR! Acknowledged by the Contractors Labor Pool (CLP) for outstanding commitment to safety; ensuring every labor pool worker was injury free on all of W. L. Butler Construction's projects throughout the last three years.


William L. Butler was recognized as one of the Most Admired CEOs in the Bay Area at a gala awards dinner sponsored by the San Francisco Business Times on Wednesday, November 17, 2010.


Ladera Oaks Swim & Tennis and AC Transit Authority were both named the ‘Best of 2010’ by California Construction. Ladera Oaks received the top honor in the Sports/Recreation category. AC Transit received the Industrial Award of Merit.


Proudly named "Contractor of the Year" by Target Corporation on Tuesday, July 20, 2010 for construction excellence in 2009. This award is presented annually to only one of 200+ contractors across the U.S. who best demonstrates partnership and a commitment to the success of the Target construction program. This is the second time W. L. Butler Construction, Inc. has been presented with this honor; having been recognized in 2002 as well.

Company Founder and CEO, Bill Butler, was the proud recipient of Boy Scouts of America’s 2009 Distinguished Citizen Award for his community service and body of philanthropic work.


Recipient of the 2008 Family Friendly Employer Award at the Sixth Annual Dads Count Breakfast sponsored by the Fatherhood Collaborative of San Mateo County. This distinguished award is presented each year to a company for their ongoing commitment to working families through employee benefits, providing a supportive culture and improving the community.

Recipient of the Mack Garrett Award, presented to the 'Project Team of the Year' by Target Corporation. The combined efforts of all team members involved with the 2007 READesign Heart of America library remodel at Washington Elementary School in San Jose are truly deserving of this prestigious honor.


Black Mountain Properties' Brittan Building (located at 990 Industrial) was presented with the San Carlos Chamber of Commerce Business Beautification Award at the 2008 Recognition Gala for the exterior remodel constructed by W. L. Butler Construction, Inc.

 

2007 Silver Barbell Award: Youth and Family Enrichment Services recognized the extraordinary contributions of W. L. Butler Construction, Inc. in helping to make the communities of San Mateo County stronger.


W. L. Butler Construction, Inc. was awarded the first annual "Green Building Award" for Jasper Ridge, located on the Stanford Campus. This award was presented to the architect, owner and developer of the most sustainable building within the county as part of the Sustainable San Mateo County (SSMC) annual Sustainability Awards in February 2003.
