Looking for an all-star Warehouse Manager & Rental Coordinator to join our team in Redwood City, CA

About the job:

The Warehouse Manager/ Rental Coordinator will be responsible for managing the warehouse team, inventory and daily regional operations, and for providing professional customer service and delivery of equipment and consumables to clients on construction job sites. Other duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Manages direct reports in his or her day-to-day operations, performs initial and ongoing training, conducts quarterly one-on-one performance meetings, carries out his or her responsibilities in their absence and facilitates department meetings
  • Provides outrageous customer service to ensure 100% customer satisfaction which includes responding to customers in a timely manner returning phone calls within 30 minutes
  • Keeps all areas clean and organized at all times including Store, Yard and his/her work area
  • Takes customer orders and oversees fulfillment as promised
  • Prepares complete, accurate and timely monthly billings
  • Communicates with and forwards all mail to accounting in a timely manner
  • Enters data in AAER’s point of sale software, RentalMan by Wynne Systems in a timely manner
  • Tracks all tools, equipment, vehicles, furniture and consumables, knowing their location at all times
  • Maintains adequate stock levels of tools, equipment, furniture and consumables in order to maximize sales
  • Stencils and barcodes all new equipment, tools, vehicles and furniture with 24 hours of acquisition
  • Performs complete inventory on a quarterly basis
  • Always enforces all safety regulations
  • Delivers orders to customers as promised and in a timely manner
  • Always keeps all areas clean and organized including Store, Yard and his/her work area
  • Ensures that all tools, equipment, vehicles, furniture & supplies in accordance with manufacturers recommendations and specifications and always in good & safe working condition
  • Conducts small tool repairs and/or schedules repairs by vendors
  • Communicates with staff and manager regarding status of orders and equipment
  • Guarantees that equipment, tools, vehicles and furniture are delivered to customers with the appropriate components, are in good working condition and ready for use
  • Receives in all equipment, tools, vehicles, and furniture when they are returned.  Documents missing pieces or damage. Ensures that equipment is returned in good working order before putting back into inventory for reassignment
  • Responsible for inventory count and purchasing of materials
  • Responsible for performing labor as required to move, lift, haul and store equipment and materials
  • Re-rent equipment from vendors when necessary
  • Some fleet management

About you:

  • Beginning level in Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, Outlook and Project)
  • Intermediate level understanding of digital images (how to open, view, customize and print them)
  • Strong organizational skills, flexibility, and the ability to prioritize work assignments
  • Possess a Class A California driver’s license and a motor vehicle driving record that is clear
  • Ability to work outside year-round in all types of weather conditions
  • Availability to work extended hours as required or urgent circumstances
  • Ability to travel throughout all areas of construction sites during all phases of a project
  • Ability to lift heavy objects up to 50-75 lbs. as encountered in the work environment
  • Ability to lift, bend, drive long distance and perform physical activity as required
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Good written and oral communication skills
